FMG Manager named world Manager of the Year
Last month, FMG’s Kelly Stuart was named Gallup Manager of the Year at the Gallup at Work Summit in Omaha, Nebraska. Kelly, who is FMG’s Manager of Claims Capability was one of 10 worldwide finalists and to be recognised on the global stage was quite a feat for the Palmerston North local.

Dryer fire sparks lint reminder
A winter’s night in July 2023 became a memorable one for Michelle and Rogan Borrie after receiving a call to say one of their farmhouses had caught on fire. Their first response was to ask if everyone had got out ok (thankfully yes) and was then followed by an investigation into the fire and a sizeable insurance claim.

John and Sue Upton, along with their children, own 785 hectares in Rissington, Hawke’s Bay. The property is farmed by the family of John’s late brother-in-law as part of the Rissington Cattle Company. When Cyclone Gabrielle arrived in Hawke’s Bay, John and Sue were more than 300km away in Wellington and it was their first experience of a significant claim with FMG Insurance.
