Loss due to defined events
Your goods and livestock are covered for accidental damage and loss due to certain events.
Livestock
Your livestock are also covered for death up to 30 days following an accident in which they were injured.
FMG’s Goods in Transit policy covers your goods, refrigerated goods, and livestock while they’re being transported within New Zealand.
Our policy covers accidental damage and loss caused by:
- Fire, lightning, explosion or flood
- Burglary
- Vehicle collision or overturning
- Loading or unloading of the vehicle
- Falling from the vehicle
Optional benefits
You can purchase optional benefits for even more comprehensive cover.
Spoilage in transit
Covers the deterioration or putrefaction of your refrigerated or temperature-controlled goods due to a rise in temperature caused by a machinery breakdown.
