We cover the cost of replacing or rebuilding infrastructure and replanting trees after a loss.
Cover for the cost of removing destroyed trees or growing trees that need to be cleared after a loss.
Cover for costs associated with protecting your plantation from fire, excluding normal expenses.
Up to $20,000 for reasonable costs to prepare, present or certify any claim we’ve accepted.
FMG’s Forestry policy covers your farm forestry block, including trees you’ve harvested but haven’t transported yet.
Your plantation and plantation infrastructure including fencing, roads, fire breaks and dams are covered.
This policy also covers partial loss so if part of your plantation is undamaged, but it wouldn’t be best practice forestry management to retain it, we may treat the entire plantation as a total loss.
Accidental loss covered under this policy includes events caused by:
- Fire, lightning or explosion
- Malicious acts
- Impact by vehicles (road, rail, or aircraft)
- Impact by animals to trees under ten years of age
- Earthquake, volcanic eruption and landslide as a direct result of the earthquake or eruption

Windstorm (FMG recommended)
Cover for your trees, aged ten years and over, for loss caused by a windstorm. Cover is for up to 50% of the amount shown on your certificate for each block, to a maximum of $1,500,000, for all events during the insurance period.
